Still one of my most memorable wedding flower experiences. I was able to work with a few of the most amazing wedding vendors out there, this out of this world amazing couple, and at one of the best industrial chic venues in Portland, Oregon. Plus it was the first time ever my work was published!
From the start this Bride knew she wanted her bridal bouquet to be free flowing and full of olive branches, eucalyptus and white/cream blooms. Something very classic that would be beautiful all dayClick here to read more.
A beautiful event can be so many things to so may people. Some on want a GIANT bridal bouquet to make a statement above all statements to elope with only their betrothed. Some want minimal wedding flowers or only greenery, exploding in textures and shapes. Then there was this wedding flower design. Full of luxurious blooms, floral details touched every little part of the day, and every small wedding detail was thought through perfectly.

Sometimes you just want to be sipping a mimosa, catching the morning sun, and watching love bloom. Okay I am a workaholic and a cheap date so I don't usually indulge in booze. The idea, however, sounds perfect lol
This couple were AMAZING, they modeled for us and just enjoyed the day ! We considered this a test run for their actual wedding later in the year. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they down right rocked this, and I am pretty sure that wedding dress was made for that Bride.

As all of your details are coming together, and you are shopping around for your florist I challenge you to make a priority list of the wedding flowers that you are wanting to order. Make a dream list then, number it from the most important down to the least important items.
I want you to grab a pen and paper or however you prefer to make lists and really think about what is your priority list is. What is the number 1 thing that you are not willing to budge on? Is that the Bridal Bouquet? DoClick here to read more.
The dreaded feeling when you go and meet with Florist after Florist and you get the proposal back and you realize that your dream is out of reach of your budget. A few tears later, maybe a glass of wine (okay the whole bottle) and your search continues. You worry that if you hire a cheaper, less experience florist, that your Big Day will reflect that. In the end you ask yourself

Lets start by all agreeing that a Viking Wedding would be SO MUCH FUN, some of the historical traditions are a little out there for me, never the less a viking anything is right up my alley.
For this shoot we really wanted to go as natural and organic as possible, nothing overly processed and commercial. Greenery, Artichoke, Globe Thistles, and Banksia Ashbyi Protae, all graced center stage with Hug Point as a beautiful backdrop. Vikings are so often portrayed as these hard, gruff, mercenaryClick here to read more.
Sometimes a big event doesn't fit what you want your wedding to look like, and a walk through Portland does. Throw on your favorite shoes, a fun dress, a leather jacket (you know, it is Oregon so you will most likely experience 3 seasons in one day) and lets go!
This couple was so much fun! Constantly giggling and joking around with each other.
They had this style that I just loved. Cool. Calm. With a dash of sarcasm. Although elopements do not usually have mountains of floral needs, it reallyClick here to read more.

It was a huge year for us, and hopefully you too! Mom and I hit some major milestones, one of which was a NKOTB cruise. Yes, you did read that right. It was amazing, and I now want to go every year!! Annual Mommy and Me trips are a must, and highly recommended!
We were busy working away to make sure each event was as gorgeous as the couple envisioned and we have met some killer vendors that have really blown me away with how talentedClick here to read more.
